How It All Started
A Mother-Daughter Vision
Legacy Grove Gardens is a heartfelt mother-daughter initiative inspired by our personal experiences and a shared desire to create a more inviting and meaningful place for remembrance. The journey began when I reflected on my own loss. I lost my dad when I was in high school, a time that shaped me profoundly. Now, as my twin daughters approach the same age I was when my dad passed away, I find myself thinking a lot about that part of my life. Visiting my dad's grave never felt comfortable or inviting, and I wanted something different for those who seek solace in remembering their loved ones.
An Unexpected Spark
The idea actually sparked from a casual conversation with a family friend. They suggested that one of my daughters work in a coffee shop at a cemetery. From that simple suggestion, the concept grew and evolved into what you see today—a serene, eco-friendly sanctuary that combines memorial gardens with a peaceful café and community space.
A Family's Work Ethic
It’s important to me that my daughters, whether they choose to go to college or not, develop a strong work ethic. They’ve shown this trait since their first lemonade stand in kindergarten, a project through Houston’s National Lemonade Day. This early experience in entrepreneurship laid a foundation for their future endeavors.
